Olá!!!
Depois desta temporada toda fora do burgo e com o dia a acordar chuvoso, parece que vou começar a viver o tempo inglês, nada melhor que relembrar as férias.
Portugal, com praia, petiscos, pôr-do-sol em esplanada, descobrir novos lugares, muita família e o tempo foi pouco para tudo.
E porque serão as últimas férias durante muito tempo, mas por um óptimo motivo, este ano resolvemos fazer algo luxuoso e ir até às Maldivas e ao Dubai.
Opinião?
Maldivas é um sonho, praias lindíssimas, sim são em resort e sim para sair só em excursões bem acompanhadas, e sim é um País pobre, com condições de trabalho terríveis. Para ter uma ideia, os trabalhadores de hotelaria têm 8 dias de descanso de 2 em 2 meses e se o hotel não estiver cheio, mas comparando com as restantes profissões disponíveis, a pesca estando no topo, é o melhor que se pode ter (com comida e dormida e com salário bem acima da média), e mais um reparo, não existe segurança social, muito menos salário minimo, os hospitais e escolas existentes são donativos de organizações (ONU) ou de outros países como o Japão.
Bem, perdoem-me o parêntesis, falava eu das Maldivas..um sonho, é impossível não descansar, não descontrair e não aproveitar para namorar e muito.
Dubai, é uma cidade riquíssima, o dinheiro é palpável, tal como também é as condições de escravatura muitos trabalhadores, principalmente para quem está em construção. De dizer que tudo é artificial, o Dubai não é mais do que um enorme parque de diversões para adultos.
Fazer safari em deserto? Fazer sky no deserto? Fazer mergulho no meio de tubarões no meio de um Centro Comercial? Bares e Restaurantes extravagantes em topo de hoteis ou em iates?
Tem dinheiro para gastar? no Dubai tudo é possível..até beber alcool ao pé de mesquitas, se pagar ninguém olha para o lado religioso!!!
Muitos expatriados ocidentais com os salários a serem o maior isco. Não existem impostos, mas não se enganem não existe qualquer figura de estado social. Médico? paga. Escola? paga. Estrada?paga.
Um sistema bem diferente do que estamos habituados.
Não sei se será uma experiência a repetir, mas enriqueceu-me. Gosto de contactar com realidades diferentes da minha.
Nota: Não se pense que se consegue contactar ou interagir com as populações árabes locais, são bastante ciosos da sua privacidade e apesar de nos aceitarem e de nos abrirem as portas não partilham o seu modo de vida. Para ter uma pequena noção, se num bairro árabe começarem a ter ocidentais, todos se mudam!

Hi !!!
After all this time away and with this rainy day waking up, looks like I'll start living the English weather, nothing better than remembering the holidays.
Portugal, with the beach, snacks, sunset, sun terrace, discover new places, lots of family and the time wasn´t enought for everything.
And as this will be be the last vacation for a long time, but for a great reason, this year we decided to do something luxurious and go to the Maldives and Dubai.
Opinion?
Maldives is a dream, beautiful beaches, yes they are in resort, and to go and know the country only onaccompanied tours, and yes it is a poor country with terrible working conditions. To get an idea, hospitality workers have eight days of rest in two months and if only the hotel is not full, but compared with other professions available, fishing being at the top, is the best you can have (with food and accommodation and salary well above average), another thing, there is no social security, least minimum wage, hospitals and schools are donations from existing organizations (UN) or from other countries like Japan.
Well, pardon me the brackets, I spoke of Maldivas..just a dream, impossible not to relax, unwind and just the perfect place to romance.
Dubai is a very rich city, the money is palpable, as is also the conditions of slavery of many workers, especially for those in construction. To say that everything is artificial, Dubai is no more than a huge playground for adults.
Do safari in the desert? Making the sky with snow? Diving among sharks in the middle of a shopping center? Bars and restaurants in fancy hotels or on yachts?
Have money to spend? In Dubai is all possível..even drinking alcohol at the foot of mosques, if you pay no one will look at the religious side !!!
There are many Western expatriates with salaries to be the biggest bait. There are no taxes, but make no mistake there is no figure of social status. Doctor? paid. School? paid. Road? Paid.
A very different system than we are accustomed.
I do not know if it will be an experience to repeat, but enriched me. I like contact with different realities of my.
Note: Do not think that one can contact or interact with local Arab populations, are very jealous of their privacy and accept us in spite of us and open doors do not share their way of life. To get a little idea, if an Arab neighborhood start having Westerners, all move!
